Mikata
I created a custom typeface to form a logotype for a musical endeavor a friend and I started, called Mikata, which is the Japanese translation of the word "ally." The concept was inspired by Japanese culture and design, and was refined by implementing some of the same strategies we use in our writing, such as welcoming a friendly rivalry and competitiveness in an effort to inspire each other. We've reached the look we had set out to attain in our vision while creating music that evokes the same emotion we've put into it.
