A live music experience rooted in nostalgia and reconnection, where analog photography meets sonic storytelling. Hosted in Strap’s film development spaces, these after-dark events invite guests to unplug and tune in—offering a rare kind of intimacy between artist and audience. Born at the intersection of touring and film culture, 1 Hour Phono provides artists a way to document their day leading up to the show with Strap’s disposable cameras. Those captured moments—walks through the city, visits to local haunts, quiet time in between—are shared with fans before the event via social, building a sense of closeness before a the needle is dropped. It’s a story told in reverse: a glimpse into the artist’s day before they take the stage that night. With a deep appreciation for real moments and tactile media, Strap’s founder—formerly a tour manager for Kaskade—created 1 Hour Phono to remind people what it feels like to be fully present. We partnered to design a complete branding package and brand guideline system that captures that ethos: analog, intentional, and alive with texture. The resulting brand identity blends nostalgic retro visuals inspired by the tone of retro film with a DIY spirit—evoking the feel of a mixtape made by hand, or a film roll developed with care. It sets the tone for a movement that doesn’t just invite you to listen—it invites you to remember every moment.
